Committee

Room Parent Committee

All room parents are part of this committee. Responsible for maintaining communication with room parents, collecting contributions for class gifts, and assisting teachers with any classroom needs.

These members help coordinate the incoming kindergarten sign orders, attend meet-ups on the playground before school starts. Help answer any questions for incoming kindergarten and new families.

Responsible for organizing and overseeing all service projects, including Day of Giving, MLK Day of Service, Ravinia’s Valentine’s Service Project, Blessings in a Backpack, and Food Pantry drives.

This committee is responsible for organizing diversity, equity, and inclusion conversations and programming to make our school community and the district an inclusive and welcoming environment.  The committee organizes a monthly bulletin board highlighting different communities, heritage and historical events. 

Teacher Appreciation Committee

Coordinates staff recognition and appreciation days. Responsible for purchasing and delivering gifts.

Works with the vendor to select Ravinia spirit-wear items.  Handles the online ordering of spirit-wear and distribution. Sell spirit wear at school events. 

This committee is responsible for staffing and assisting during fundraising events. Acquiring raffle items or donations for school events including book fair, ice cream social, back to school bash, etc.

Plan and oversee all 5th grade related activities and events. 

Responsible for organizing Ravinia’s annual book fair.

Responsible for organizing yearbook ordering and distribution.
